The following guide is provided to Bay Area Mover customers to help them with the moving process from start to finish.

Bay Area Moving Supplies

Here at Bay Area Movers we highly suggest our full packing services to all of our customers. It is important to use the proper packaging supplies during relocation or items could end up damaged. If items are not packaged properly, we will not be held responsible for any reimbursements, replacements or repairs. If our movers notice improper packaging, they will inform you of the matter. At that point, the item must be packaged the right way. If you allow us to do it, you may be subjected to additional charges.

About the Moving Materials and Supplies We Offer

Bay Area Movers sells the proper packaging materials to customers who wish to handle the process of packing on their own. By using these materials, you are only ensuring the safety of your things. Not to mention, your items are protected by insurance coverage when the right materials and supplies are used. If not, we reserve the ability to deny your right to an insurance claim. Here are some of the moving materials and supplies you should use while packing:

  • Moving Blankets
  • Paper Furniture Pads
  • Packing Tape
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Packing Paper
  • Foam Wrap
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Stretch Wrap
  • Mattress/Furniture Covers
  • Moving Straps
  • Permanent Marker
  • Nylon Rope
  • Ratchet Straps
  • Padlocks
  • Trailer Kits
  • Various Size Moving Boxes

The supplies listed above are all great for packing up your belongings for a move. They will help assure the safety of your things, keep the process of moving more organized, and help you to identify what boxes and items go in which room. Packing with anything other than the supplies and materials listed will not be nearly as efficient.

Using the Right Moving Supplies to Pack

As you start the packing process, start first with any items that must be packed away in boxes. Fill the larger boxes with lighter items and the smaller boxes with heavier items to make loading and unloading easier. Once you have a box filled with belongings, fill in the empty spaces with bubble wrap, foam wrap or even newspaper and linens. Once all empty spaces are filled, secure the box shut with the packing tape. Take a permanent marker and clearly label the box with the room it is to go in and place the box against the wall of the room it was packed in. If there is glassware or breakable items in the box, mark it with “Fragile.”
